DAY 12 OF 12 - Doo Wop - 12/25 Xmas

Side A
Side B

I got this a while ago, and posted side B as one of my first posts on this site. I haven't seen this around anywhere else. It starts off with some kind of reconciliation freestyle between Doo Wop and Rampage, themed around Christmas, although I don't think this is the DJ Rampage I know so I wonder who it is.

Merry Christmas, 3 more tapes this year before the end of the year.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with the site, even the people who took time out to write info about the tape or just say thanks. To everyone posting mixtapes or radio shows from the same era as this website, let's keep going, or if you retired - come back and educate or remind all of us again.

DAY 11 of 12 - Dj Kool Kid - Da New Beginning

Side A
Side B

Tape came unlabelled and with no cover... I saw someones cover of this one online, so the title is right..

DAY 8 OF 12 - Dj Priiest - I Got The Money

Side A
Side B

Tapemasta posted the first side of this tape HERE a while ago, and also has loads of Priiest tapes on his site.

I stole this bit of text from his site :

"How many of you remember the Original Spin of Salt & Pepa ( Look on the first album & see for yourself - Now you got a piece of Hip Hop History by yours truly..lol )..Well she was doing mixtapes as DJ Priiest aka spyndarella.."

DAY 7 OF 12 - Scian Smooth & Dave-O - 2/95

Side A
Side B

Bought this from Brett. Scian Smooth himself doesn't have this anymore, I was told -  so it's as much for him as everyone else. Enjoy

DAY 6 OF 12 - Dj Robb Cee - East Coast Flava volume #1

Side A
Side B

Ah, Christmas is right around the corner. Warm yourself with some mixtapes. Coming up are some mixtapes that will melt your face. Now that's hot.

DAY 5 OF 12 - Doo Wop = Freestyles volume 1

Side A
Side B

Despite an all-new intro, I'm sure these freestyles are just lifted from Doo Wop's most popular tapes.

DAY 4 OF 12 - Mike Mike Presents - Old School volume 1

Side A
Side B

Don't know who the DJ is. Mike Mike seemed to sell tapes - example, a MIKE MIKE branded Dj Iroc tape #5 etc.

Jesse Velazqez from PhilaFlava wrote : "Nice. I haven't seen a Mike Mike tape in years. They used to have a paper menu that looked like a food takeout menu that had a list of mix tapes. You were able to order them buy type (Rap, Reggae, etc) and they would deliver them. Pretty crazy."

DAY 3 OF 12 - Dj Kool Kid - Shut Down pt. II

Side A

Side B

The full title is

NO MISSION IS IMPOSSIBLE :

SHUT DOWN PART II

but that's a bit too long. Kool Kid seems to be a popular DJ, and with freestyles from Genovese and Mo Money etc, this tape is worth a download.
