Gonna repost here what I posted on the chatbox: Kid Capri 12-17 - thanks for the tapes with the dates as titles! I gotta ask though: Is this really a Kid Capri tape? Some years ago I listened to a lot of Kid Capri interviews and if I remember correctly, he stated that his last street mixtape was his 12-3-91 (doo wop diss) tape. But of course it's possible that 25, 30 years later he simply forgot that he dropped another one 14 days later (and the 12-17 tape you posted is clearly a late 1991 tape). Problem is he rarely talked on his tapes so this easily recognizable marker is missing to identify quickly if it's his tape. But it's a great tape, so it's probably a Kid Capri tape. I recommend his latest interview on Kenny Parker's youtube channel, where he goes into some detail of his tape era: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIJk3z79pCk. There's lots of good interviews on Kenny Parker's shows and there's a few good interviews by Doo Wop on various channels that give great insights in mixtape culture in 90's NYC.

Another good Kid Capri interview where he talks about his late 80's, early 90's tapes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW5BmGd_pQ0
